TABLETOP ROLEPLAYING GAMES

Tabletop Roleplaying is something that has existed for long periods of time, the first commerically avaible TTRPG would be Dungeons & Dragons, beginning in 1974, with 1976 being the release of the White Box. These games have roots in a deeper form of Tabletop gaming, The Wargame, which has existed for far longer than any TTRPG, with the Prussians being the first to create a Wargame, though arguably, chess and even potentially The Royal Game of Ur could be considered Wargames on their own merit. The TTRPG is an artform in my eyes, it's not only a game, but a story telling medium. Whether it be GURPS or D&D or T&T (Tunnels & Trolls) or some other game. I started my TTRPG journey during the pandemic, when I got into D&D for the first time, of course, I was rather... poor at it. Now I've grown to be able to come up with coherent ideas and actual stories, if I feel motivated enough, still, most of the time I end up switching over to doing something else, thus sabotaging myself when I end up having one sentence of description to go on at the table. I, am a Gamemaster, and a Forever Gamemaster at that, sometimes I wonder what it's like to be the player character.Anyway, I've got a soft spot for Dwarfs (Yes, it's Dwarfs not Dwarves and I will DIE on that hill), and I really like coming up with my own rules for systems which I'll never finish.
